Welcome to Episode 7 of The Sunday SHITSHOW!

This week, we're joined by Geltchy and a special guest, Bones, who’s been pulled straight out of the closet for this wild ride. Buckle up as we delve into the latest in car events, giveaways, music, and much more!

Events on the Brink: What’s Going Wrong?

Car enthusiasts and festival-goers, we've got some bad news. The ASRF Regional QLD Motoring Festival in Mackay has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales, adding to a growing list of car events facing the axe. Locally, the Caloundra Music Festival is also the latest victim, leaving us all wondering: What’s causing this decline?

Is it the rising cost of living, a shift in consumer interests, or perhaps the lingering effects of the pandemic on social gatherings? We're digging deep to understand why beloved events are struggling to draw crowds and what this means for the future of our favorite festivals.

Shoutout to the Underdog

Stuey's Shoutout: Coolum Beach’s Isabella Nichols
This week, Stu’s shoutout goes to Coolum Beach’s WSL Pro Surfer Isabella Nichols. She’s been making waves and showing everyone that the underdogs can make a big splash. Keep an eye on her in upcoming competitions!

Geltchy’s Shoutout: Crazy Town
Geltchy also gives a nod to Crazy Town, highlighting their rollercoaster journey in the music industry. Despite setbacks, they left a mark with their unique blend of rap, metal, and rock. From their explosive performance history to their tragic personal struggles, Crazy Town remains a fascinating chapter in music history.

Musical Spotlight: The Bennies & Crazy Town

Stu is hyping Melbourne’s own The Bennies, the Psychedelic Reggae Ska Doom Metal Punk Rockers from Hell, with their hit "Anywhere You Wanna Go" off the album Rainbows in Space. If you haven’t jammed to their unique blend of genres yet, you’re in for a treat!

Geltchy gives a nod to Crazy Town, the Rap-Metal Hip-Hop Rock group that flirted with mainstream success before being marred by internal conflicts, substance abuse, and tragedy. Despite their rocky path, Crazy Town's creative vision and memorable hits left a lasting impression. Their breakout hit "Butterfly" might ring a bell, but Geltchy dives deeper with "Lemonface" from The Brimstone Sluggers (2015). This track blends gritty rock riffs with electronic elements and hip-hop grooves, showcasing the band’s darker, more introspective side.
